With four different fire options, it is also one of the best Fireplaces DVD available on the market today. Many similar products already exist but, invariably, only one fire option is half decent. The truth is that most of the discs out there are poorly filmed and disappointing in length and production. This is definitely NOT the case with this disc. Each fire video lasts between 25 or so minutes to 50, which really does give the impression of sitting in front of a real fire. The sound in particular is terrific with real crackles and log spits, fully adding to the illusion of reality of the whole thing. One thing that I also very much liked (and which surprised me) was the music option. Very often, these discs have the most appalling sound tracks and choices that one would never choose to listen to. Not so in this case again. The option of playing this Fireplace DVD with its outstanding films and music is appealing and very very relaxing. I can see myself read a book, by this fire with the gentle nostalgic (I think original) piano score. I would most definitely encourage anyone to buy this product. It is very well produced and a perfect introduction to ambient films.
